Connection Focused Horsemanship and Riding Lessons:
We have limited availability for regular weekly students depending on day/time preference, and have started a waitlist. We also have occasional openings for drop-in lessons. Contact us for lesson inquiries!
We offer lessons for people of all ages and experience levels for horsemanship and riding. Lacy’s approach to teaching lessons aims to give her students a holistic education of connecting, communicating, attuning to, as well as riding our equine partners. These lessons include both unmounted and mounted work and are tailored to the students needs. Lacy is experienced in training various english and wester disciplines, but the fundamental skills she aims to teach are applicable to any discipline.
Pricing: Weekly students on monthly payment pay $50 per hour lesson, 30 min option available for children 5 and under. Drop-in lessons are $60/hr.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Sessions (EAP):
EAP sessions are where Lacy parters with a licensed mental health professional, such as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, etc., through the Natural Lifemanship Institute to bring in the horses into a clients therapeutic experience to enhance their treatment. EAP often works well for clients that feel that traditional talk therapy was not the right fit. EAP is experiential in nature and utilizes the inherent traits of horses as highly social, incredibly aware, prey animals that rely on reading non-verbal communication for survival. These sessions also draw heavily from somatic practices to regulate the nervous system and to release trauma patterns.
**Lacy is not currently offering EAP with a mental health provider, will update when this changes**
Equine Assisted Learning Sessions:
EAL sessions are not focused on horsemanship skills, although they are still incorporated, but are focused on helping the client develop more self-awareness, coping skills, and nervous system regulation in partnership with the horses. Both unmounted and mounted activities can be utilized depending on the client’s needs and goals. Lacy offers individual EAL sessions in her program as well as group EAL workshops and sessions in partnership with other educators and mental health professionals. Some group sessions are geared towards more academic goals, such as reading skills for children. Others are focused on general wellness and mental health, incorporating various modalities such as mindfulness and breath work.
